WATER DEIONIZATION
COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL, AUTOMOTIVE, PHARMACEUTICAL DEIONIZATION (DI)
Ion exchange deionizers use synthetic resins like those in water softeners. Pre-treated water is typically used i.e. media & GAC filtered water for DI supply. DI uses a two-stage process to remove virtually all ionic material in water. Two types of synthetic resins are used: one to exchange positively charged ions (cations) for H+ & another to exchange negatively charged ions (anions) for OH-.Cation Deionization Resins (hydrogen cycle) release hydrogen ion (H+) in exchange for cations such as calcium, magnesium, & sodium etc. While Anion Deionisation Resins release hydroxyl ion (OH-) in exchange for anions such as chloride, carbonate, sulphate etc. The H+ & OH- then combine to make water.

Any required flow rate can be accommodated, however standard plant offerings are 1.5m3p/hr / 3m3p/hr / 4m3p/hr / 10m3p/hr / 18m3p/hr.
Mixed Bed Plant
Manual or Automatic conductivity controlled. Once exhausted, resin supply simply replaced. (No chemicals required) Suitable for small use applications & polishing RO permeate or Deionization service water.

Standard “long” regeneration times, i.e. 1.5 - 3 hrs.
Short cycle Cation & Anion exchange plant - latest DI technology running off PLC of your choice - Only 35 min regeneration time - Saves time / Chemical consumption / pH neutral effluent stream, therefore less loading on your effluent plant. Conventional Co flow (top to bottom) units & counter current (up flow type plants).
